However, in some cases antidepressants are prescribed while others undergo hormone therapy. This is because experts believe that post partum depression is caused by hormone changes during pregnancy.
Post partum depression can be resolved through talks with the spouse or when participating a group therapy session. More often than not, offering support is the best way to deal with someone who suffers from the condition. Keep in mind that post partum depression when left on its own can harm both the mother and the baby. Hence, make sure to pay attention to your spouse and talk things out before they become an issue.
